(Anti-)Apocalypticism throughout Antiquity

Venue

The Centro Stefano Franscini is located on Monte Veritá in Ascona, Switzerland, overlooking the city and the Lago Maggiore. The complex was built in the early 20th century and enjoyed an intriguing history where it was the site of a colony of intellectuals, with visitors including Carl Jung, Paul Klee or Max Weber. Today the site is used as a conference centre owned by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

Situated just half a kilometre outside the old town, the organisers chose this venue to combine both a well-equipped site for intellectual exchange with excellent facilities as well as arguably one of the most beautiful locations to experience a summer in Switzerland.
